Who is eligible to register?
The Sound Exchange ’19 is open to all audiologists and hearing health professionals.
How do I alter my registration?
The events team are on hand to help with any changes to your registration or accommodation booking. We can be contacted on email@example.com
What do I do if I need to cancel my registration?
If you can no longer attend The Sound Exchange ‘19, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org requesting a cancellation. Please note that fees and charges may be associated with cancelling your registration. As an alternative, you can also transfer your registration to another person. Registration terms and conditions can be found on the registration page of this website.
Can I pay to attend just one session or day?
Due to the style of the program, there are no session/single day registration options available.
Can I attend just the exhibition?
Due to the style of the program, there are no exhibition only registration options available.
Do I need to pre-select the sessions I will be attending?
No, during the registration process you will select the masterclass that you would like to attend over the two and a half days. This will inform which sessions you will attend.
Can my partner attend?
If your partner or guest would like to attend conference sessions, they will need to register for the whole event or for the days they wish to attend. You can also purchase tickets for partners and guests to attend only the social functions such as the Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner. Guest tickets for these events can be purchased as part of your registration process or you can modify your registration to include them at a later date.
Can I book accommodation through AudA?
Audiology Australia has negotiated discounted rates with various hotels near the Alice Springs Convention Centre. You can book accommodation with these hotels as part of the registration process. For more information, visit our accommodation page.
What CPD points will I earn?
We anticipate The Sound Exchange ’19 will provide you with the opportunity to meet the minimum CPD requirements for Category 1 and Category 2. The program is currently being finalised and more information will available shortly.
Will I receive a certificate of attendance?
We will not be distributing certificates of attendance however if you need one please let us know and the events team will organise one for you.
How and when will my CPD points be allocated?
The events team will upload your points for you and you will be able to see these points in your Professional Development Diary at audiology.asn.au by mid-June 2019. Please remember that the evaluation form must be completed for Category 1 and Category 2 points to be allocated. Should they not be completed in time it may affect when these points are allocated to you.

How long does the conference go for?
The conference runs for 2.5 days, from Friday 31 May to Sunday 2 June 2019.
What do I do when I get there?
When you arrive at the Alice Springs Convention Centre, please enter via the main doors at the front of the building and make your way to either the ground floor registration desk.
What is the dress code?
At Sound Exchange ’19 there will hands-on activities for you to get involved in. To make participating as comfortable as possible, the dress code for the conference sessions is smart casual. The dress code for the Welcome Reception, Conference Dinner and Farewell Drinks is also smart casual.
I have a dietary requirements. What should I do?
When you register for Sound Exchange ’19 there is a question asking for any dietary requirements. This relates to specific requirements such as vegetarian, gluten free, lactose intolerant and allergies. Please list your requirements in this section. At the event, the dietary specifications of each food item will be listed. For any requirements that are not covered by the selections available for all delegates, there will be separate station where your meals will be available. The Alice Springs Convention Centre and AudA team will be on hand to help direct you. Please note that food preferences cannot be accommodated.
What will the weather be like?
The daytime weather in Alice Springs in May/June averages 21C. You will experience a drop in temperature in the evenings, as low as 6C, so remember to pack a jacket.

How do I get to Alice Springs?

How do I get from the airport to the conference?
Airport transfers (shuttle) are available through Alice Wanderer Airport Transfers. Their service meets every flight arriving into Alice Springs and they will transfer you directly to your accommodation. Return Transfer can be pre-booked online at www.alicewanderer.com.au from your hotel reception, at the Airport or alternatively call their office on 1800 722 111.
